Did you know that spring takes third place behind summer and autumn as the most popular time of year to get married? This might be good news to you, or those in charge of your wedding funds! Planning a spring wedding may mean more of the top-notch wedding professionals will be available and you may be able to get discounted rates, especially on reception sites and honeymoon travel. This is something you may want to keep in mind as you plan your Spring 2011 wedding!
Is your spring wedding coming up soon? Have you considered preserving your beautiful spring flower bouquet and other floral arrangements? The most popular way to do this is by an effective process called freeze-drying. You can find several of these flower preservationists in the MidSouth by going to the internet. Another item you may wish to “save” is your wedding gown. Many dry-cleaning businesses offer this service and will pack and protect your gown in a good-looking see-through box. Don’t forget to freeze the top tier of your wedding cake, or a selected slice to enjoy on your first wedding anniversary. You can save the Groom’s cake, as well. How about other left-over heavenly delightful treats made for you.. Miscellaneous chocolates and other baked treats should be saved, as well.
These are some ideas you may have already planned to do, but perhaps you still have not designated “who” will take charge of these items, following the wedding. You, the Bride, will not be handling these tasks for obvious reasons. Your maid-of-honor, Mom, or someone, will be happy to take on these responsibilities for you – just don’t forget to ask. Don’t rely on just one person; you may need several, depending on the size of your wedding. Have someone create a “Keepsake Box” which can keep remaining birdseed bags, cake toppers, wedding napkins and wedding favors. Thank you cards, napkins, invitations, and programs should be saved and some of them boxed or framed. …just a few last minute reminders.

A COUPLE OF BLESSINGS ~
May your thoughts lead you often
To some quiet and restful place
May you meet each new tomorrow
With a smile upon your face.
May you reach the star you aim for
And may your dreams all come true,
And where ever life takes you\
May happiness always be with you.
